Credit Corporation (PNG) Ltd announces sponsorship of Sparrows Netball Club

Making partnership waves in Papua New Guinea comes with the news of Credit Corporation and their exciting new venture with The Sparrows Netball Club. An announcement which was made recently to the media by Mr. Peter Burland, the Business Development Manager for Credit Corporation.

The Sparrows Netball Club was originally established in 1989 by the Late Jack Geniam Marion Genia aswell as Raki and Mary Leka.

The 2016 season sees Sparrows Netball Club entering a multitude of teams across various ages and competition tiers. The Junior Division will display the future of the national talent featuring U10, U13, U15 teams as well as an expanded 2 teams each for both the U17 and U21. They will also be showcasing the reigning champion senior teams from Division 1 and the Premier Division.

The Sparrows Netball Club is an exciting hub of talent and promise, boasting over 100 members and iconic representative players such as Kilala Owen, Neitha Adult, and Jacklyn Lahari.

Credit Corporation and The Sparrows Netball Club outlined its main objectives for the future;

To Empower our girls and women through sports.
Have a junior pathway program to develop high performing athletes.
Build capacity of technical and management officials within the club.
Provide an export player pathway for our potential payers to gain international experience;
Be seen as a family orientated club encouraging unity & ownership through the club.

The partnership between these two proud PNG institutions was backed with sponsorship from Credit Corporation worth K25,000, there will be a strong focus on national identity and a committed vow to community programs. With Credit Corporation and The Sparrows Netball Club working in conjunction with one another the future is set to encourage our national players at every level to soar to new heights while playing a major role in the heart of the community.
